Running the Security Camera Wires
Administer, configure, and maintain the eTerra OMS platform to ensure reliability, performance, and operational availability. Develop, enhance, and maintain OMS processes, workflows, and configurations to support outage response and grid operations. Support and manage integrations between OMS and other systems such as GMS, SCADA/EMS/DMS, AMI systems, GIS, and enterprise applications.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the AMI Filtering Rules Engine to reduce false outage indications and improve detection accuracy. Analyze system logs, performance metrics, and alerts to proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions. Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Operations, Field Services, Engineering, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, NERC/CIP, and utility operational standards. Participate in system upgrades, patches, testing cycles, and release management activities. Provide internal technical training, documentation, and user support related to OMS capabilities.

Scada configuration is the part that generally takes the longest. If possible and applicable, use s3nci automated configuration tool to make the process even easier.

Wiring communications network is also not dangerous. The wiring used for security camera systems like Coax and CAT 5 Ethernet is low-voltage. So even an accidental electric shock won’t do much harm.
